# Adding Your Live Auction Items

The **Live Auction Items** tab is where you create and manage the items that will be sold during your live auction. This section allows you to add auction items, record winning bids during the event, manage bidder payments, and organize your auction workflow.

### 🧺 Adding Items

Click **Add Item** to create a new live auction item.

Each item requires:

* Item Name *(Required)*
* Description *(Optional)*
* Item Image *(Optional)*
* Winning Certificate (PDF) *(Optional) -* Upload a certificate or supporting document that will be emailed to winning bidder upon payment.

> **Upcoming Update:** Item descriptions and images will support a presentation-style viewing experience, allowing bidders to browse and navigate auction items directly from the front-end experience.

Once completed:

* Click **Save** to create the item.
* Click **Save and Create** to immediately create another item.

### ✏️ Managing Auction Items

Once created, each item appears in your Live Auction Items list.

Available actions include:

#### Place Winning Bid

On the day of the event, when bidding concludes, click **Place Winning Bid** to record the final winning amount.

Enter:

* Winning bid amount

Once confirmed:

* The item becomes locked for editing.
* Bidder details can then be collected.
* Payment collection becomes available.

> **Important:** Once a final bid is confirmed, the item details can no longer be edited.

#### Edit Item

You can edit an item before a final winning bid has been recorded.

Editable fields include:

* Item name
* Description
* Certificate upload
* Item image

> **Note:** Once a winning bid has been confirmed, editing will no longer be available. Only visibility controls will remain.

#### Duplicate Item

Need another copy of an item quickly?

Use **Duplicate Item**.

This creates a new copy of the item while removing any finalized winning bid information.

This is useful during live events when creating similar items quickly.

#### Winning Certificate Download

If a Winning Certificate PDF has been uploaded, it can be downloaded directly from the item actions.

If no certificate exists, the option will display as unavailable.

#### Hide / Show Item

Use the visibility toggle to temporarily hide or display an auction item.

Hidden items remain in your system but will not appear where visibility is applied.

#### Delete Item

Items can be deleted when no completed payment exists.

> **Important:** Once payment has been completed for an item, deletion is disabled to preserve transaction records.

### ↕️ Reordering Items

Items can be reordered at any time.

To reorder:

1. Locate the six-dot drag handle beside the item name
2. Click and hold
3. Drag the item into the desired position

This allows you to match the auction order planned for your live event.

### 📲 Onsite Bid Entry

The **Onsite Bid Entry** option allows staff, volunteers, or spotters to enter winning bids directly from the front-end dashboard during the live auction.

When enabled:

* Staff can submit winning bids without accessing the event dashboard backend
* Spotters can record results quickly during live bidding
* Auction administration becomes faster during active fundraising

Enable or disable this option at any time.
