Connecting Your Stripe Account

Linking Stripe is essential for processing donations — it ensures all funds go smoothly into your bank account. Here, you’ll learn how to link an existing Stripe account—or create a new stripe connect account—so you can process donations securely.

The steps differ slightly depending on whether you already have a Stripe account.

🛄 Connecting an Existing Stripe Account

Enter your stripe account email

Provide the email address associated with your existing Stripe account.

Select your Stripe account

Stripe will display any account(s) linked to that email.

Review and submit

After choosing the correct account, follow the prompts to review and confirm your details.

Once confirmed, your Stripe account is successfully connected to your eventmate account.

Note: You’re not required to use the same email as your eventmate login; just ensure it’s the email tied to your Stripe account.

🆕 Creating a New Stripe Connect Account

If you don’t have a Stripe account or the email you entered isn’t recognized, Stripe will walk you through the connect account creation.

Selecting your business type

After entering your email, choose your business type (e.g., nonprofit, charity, for-profit).

Submitting your business details

Fill out all required information (legal name, registration data, bank details, etc.).

Once your account is verified and approved, the donation feature becomes active.

Important: Double-check your business details—accurate information speeds up Stripe’s approval process.
