Setting Up the Donations

👉 To use donation feature, you must first connect your Stripe account. Follow the steps in the Stripe Setup section to complete this before setting up your donation form.

Once Stripe is connected, you can tailor your donation form—this includes creating a short donor message and up to five pre-filled amounts. A well-structured Donate form can boost generosity by simplifying the giving process.

Open your event

From the dashboard, select your event.

Once you are in your event, on the left navigation panel, click Donations.

Complete all fields in the Setup tab as described below.

✍️ Message to your donors

Use this field to give donors a concise, motivating message. By briefly stating your cause or impact, you help visitors feel confident about contributing.

💡 Donation amount format

This option lets you decide how the suggested donation amounts are presented to your donors.

You’ll see two options:

  • Amount Only – Displays just the suggested values (e.g., $50, $100).

  • Amount with Description – Lets you define each amount with a short title or note to add more meaning (e.g., "Covers a child’s school supplies - $100").

🖐️ Displaying amounts only

List up to five preset donation amounts (e.g., $100, $200, $300...) so donors can quickly choose how much to give, or enter a custom amount.

This simplifies decision-making and can encourage higher donations.

📝 Displaying amounts with description

Add up to five suggested donation amounts, each with a custom name or description. This allows you to show donors the real-world impact of their contribution—making the donation experience more personal and meaningful.

Note: You can always edit the descriptions for your donation amounts at any time. However, amounts themselves cannot be edited directly—if you need to update a value, you’ll need to delete that amount and then add a new one.

Donation amounts are automatically displayed in ascending order, with the lowest amount shown first and the highest shown last.

👀 Previewing the donation form

Select Preview (at the bottom) to check how the donation form appears from a donor’s perspective. This helps you refine any final details before everything goes live.

Note: Always save your work to avoid losing changes.
