Setting Up Your Guest List

eventmate’s Check-In feature makes welcoming guests smooth and efficient. Before your team can begin checking in attendees, you’ll need to configure your guest list.

📝 Guest List Setup

By default, every guest list includes First Name, Last Name, and Company fields. These are always visible during check-in.

If you’d like to display additional information (such as table number, guest type, or dietary restrictions), simply click Add Field to include them.

Note: Your guest list must contain at least one of the following for each entry: First Name or Last Name.

  • Example: If Row 1 has only a first name and Row 2 has only a last name, both will still be accepted.

  • If both fields are empty, the row will not upload.

  • If no real names are available, you may use placeholders (Example: Guest 1 or Guest 2).

📂 Uploading Your Guest List

Once your fields are set, download the provided CSV template to make sure your data matches the required format. Fill in your guest details, then click Upload Guest List to import.

When uploading, you’ll be given two options:

  • Replace All → Clears the existing list and uploads only the new file.

  • Add to Existing → Adds the uploaded guests to your current list without removing what’s already there.
